During the Easter break I was lucky enough to go on holiday; but this wasn't the usual relaxing holiday, it was probably the most strenuous holiday i've ever been on. Skiing. 

I have always wanted to go skiing, its just something that always looked so amazing and fun therefore I was very excited. 

I travelled by plane to Passo Del Tonale in Italy, known for its beautiful slopes, and it did not disappoint. Travelling in April did scare me abit, as I did worry about the amount of snow that would be there during the Spring season, however I don't think I have ever seen so much snow in my life. 

Being a beginner, ski instructors were hired for the group to help us, but it didn't take long to pick up the basic skills required to get down a mountain without falling over. We were successfully doing red runs on the third day, so we didn't do too badly!

Overall I stayed for 6 nights, with 6 full days of skiing, and by the 4th day i'm not going to lie I was ready to give up. Because you're in the open fresh air and in the direct sunlight and putting all your energy into skiing it was extremely exhausting. The hotel was about a 40 metres away from the first ski lift, and although that doesn't seem like much, it was an uphill walk and we had to carry our ski's and ski poles whilst wearing ski boots (Ski boots are not the most comfortable boots to walk in). So as you can imagine, yes it was tiring. 

Putting aside my complaints, it was all totally worth it. The views were just beautiful I cant put into words how incredible some of the sites were, and skiing itself is actually really fun. I guess you have to be quite sporty or an adrenaline junky, because some moments do get your heart racing. I'm the least sportiest person going, so I went with a love for adrenaline rushes and it did not disappoint in that factor.

Drinking a hot chocolate on a mountain was honestly the best feeling in the world.

The trip was one I won't forget and i'm so glad I went on it, one to tick off the bucket list!

Helllooooo

So quite a few things have been happening recently, and i thought i could share them with the very few (if any) people that read this.

Can i also take a minute to ask, if anyone is reading this, please please pleeeeease just leave a little comment below just saying hi or something because i am begining to feel like noone likes my little blogs and i love writing but i dont think anyone is interested haha. 

The first super cool awesome news is that I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST CAR. I dont think anyone will appreciate how excited i am but let me tell you, i am very excited. Its a little black KA and i love it to pieces,   i think i am especially proud because i bought it myself so i like to talk about it. It isnt at my house at the minute because my parents are divorced and my dad lives in like a really big house (its not that big) with a big car park (we call it a car park but its just a massive area at the bottom of the garden where he parks his cars) that is really out of the way, so i decided it would be best to leave it there where it is safe untill i have a few lessons and can actually drive it. 

My first lesson is on my birthday which is on the 5th of March so i have less than a month to wait and i literally cannot wait i just want to cry. I think im really lucky with lessons because one of my childhood bestfriends mum is a driving instructor, and i practically grew up with her so i know her really well and we get  along like a house on fire so lessons will be so much more fun with her.

I will 100% upload tons of pictures of my car when i visit my dad, but i dont acually have any decent ones as of yet :( 

Secondly, i bought my Reading ticket last week! I am so excited to go there are so many amazing people there this year and it is my first ever time going so it will be brilliant. There is a massive group of me and my friends going, i think there is about 20 overall so the whole weekend will be such a laugh i cant wait. If you have been please let me know and give me some survival tips!

Next week i am going away with my dads side of the family for a little holiday which im really looking forward to. Its only to a Haven site as my dad now has five children, two of which are 1year old twins, so he cant really afford to take us far and the twins probably wouldnt like traveling anyway. I rarely get to see my dad/stepmum/siblings though so i am really excited to spend a week with all of them having some well needed quality time together. 

Sorry this was a very improvised post but i want to get into the habit of updating regularly and i also really want people to read it :)

a little haul

Last week i visited my local shopping centre with my bestfriend Hollie, and no word of a lie, i speant about £70 in less than half an hour, that must be some kind of record. 

This is only a small haul and i am quite shocked i only bought these items as shopping for me usually means buying everything. However although i did only buy four items, i did still manage to spend £70 so it did turn out quite expensive, but i was super happy with my purchases.

The first shop i visited was New Look and i have to say, i am inlove with this store at the minute. It sells so many gorgeous clothes and everything is normally really affordable. You know when you go into a shop, pick up something then look at the price tag and put it straight back down? i dont think ive ever done this in there. 

Im really funny with clothes like i hate it when you see everyone always wearing the same thing, so i try my best to be unique and steer clear from 'the latest trends'. Obviously this is alot easier said than done, and my confidence in clothes is not the best, but i think New Look always have such a wide variety of clothes and if they are a part of the current trend, they somehow add their own 'twist' to products and create them in their own style. 

This is a black and white knitted coat i bought and when i first picked it up i wasnt too sure whether i liked it. It looked a bit 'frumpy' on the hanger, it just fell and had no shape if you get what i mean? However i did like the pattern and was in desperate need of a new coat, so i tried it on. It was at this moment in time that i fell inlove with it and had to buy it. Looking at the price tag, i nearly cried with joy i swear, it was originally priced at £65 and to be fair i probably wouldve still bought it, however it had been reduced to £32 in the sale. Someone please tell me how you can beat that?! 

It is so warm and so comfortable, i got it in a size12 as i always get coats a size bigger because i want them to still fit when wearing jumpers and layers underneath. I also really love the leather collar as it makes the coat so much more interesting.

I did also buy a brown leather jacket for my mum in there. I knew she had wanted it for a while and it had originally cost £45 which she refuses to spend on herself, but in the sale it was reduced to £18 so i thought i could treat her to it which made her day. im such a good daughter. ha.

The next shop i visited was 'Garage'. It is the best shoe shop around purely because the shoes are so nice and so cheap (im a sucker for a bargain). I often purchase my shoes in there, but i think its once a year they do these amazing sales that are way too good to miss and luckily i didnt miss it this time. You get to buy a pair of shoes and get a second pair (of your choice) for a £1, like that is possibly the best thing ever!?!?!? 

 The first pair of shoes i practically ran to were these gorgeous brown leather boots. I have been wanting these for like a year now i swear and every single time i go in there to buy them theyre sold out, but luck was so in my favour this day because i managed to pick them up for a pound. A POUND. They do look quite baggy on me which sucks, apparently i have tiny ankles because they dont fit me like they do on the models *cries* but i dont care i still love them. They are originally £30 i think, and do them in black aswell; i was going to buy the black pair for the second part of the deal, but they had sold out which was annoying.

These are the pair of shoes i paid full price for, and i think theyre quite cute. Not going to lie, they werent my first choice but everything else had been sold out so i went for these as theyre really simple, you can wear them with practically anything, and theyre really comfortable. Theyre kind of like a remake of the army/tramp/military/(any of the other names you may of had for them) boots but these are only ankle height. They cost me £30 which i think is a really reasonable price for them.

Overall this cost me roughly £70 so my debit card was probably wanting to murder me after that, but i had a good time. Me and Hollie also went for a TGI's after that, so i really did spend alot that day...

My guilty pleasure

There are two types of people in life, those that absolutely love Lush, and those that cannot stand it. 

There's no inbetween.

I am lucky enough to be one of those people that are inlove with the shop and its products (if you couldnt tell, the 'lucky' part was sarcasm because i spend fortunes in this place). Everytime i visit my local shopping centre I automatically visit the shop. Over the christmas period i had a second job working at the ice rink in the shopping centre, and no word of a lie, at the end of every shift or during my breaks i would visit the shop. In my defense, you had to walk past it to get to the food court or exit so its not my fault i was always drawn to it. It got so bad that some of the staff that worked there actually new my name, how ridiculous is that. 

Its now coming to the end of january, so most of the products i bought have been used. However i still have quite a collection left so i thought i would share my thoughts and favourites with you in case you were interested. Alot of the products are also from the christmas range so they are not available all year round, this is probably a good thing for me otherwise its another reason to spend more money.

(i hope you appreciate how long it took me to find all the names of the products because i rip most of the packaging up and store it all in plastic bags)

This is my little tin i use to keep as many of the products in. The lid doesnt actually shut anymore so i just leave the lid off.

This is the 'Magic Wand Bubble Bar' and is only available at christmas time which sucks. In the picture i have taken it has actually been half used which is why it looks all crumbly and small, but when you first buy it, its alot bigger. It smells quite sweet and is very refreshing. To use this you simply swish it around in the bath and this creates bubbles and leaves your bath a lovely pink colour which is so exciting. If you cant tell, i love it. Another bonus is that you dont have to use it all at once, so you can save it for another day.

 This is the 'Sweetie Pie' shower jelly and is supper fun in the shower or bath. It is literally the consistency of jelly so it is really slippery when you use it, which can become quite challenging to wash with. I think it really smells of blackberries; its so fresh and it has glitter inside it which leaves you with a lovely, glittery glow. Its RRP is £3.25 for 100g of the jelly, and it lasts forever (ive had mine for about six months now and still have about half left).

 Now this picture is kind of useless for you because i dont actually know what is is called, i dont even think they sell it anymore. Its a little soap bar and smells of lavender. It was one of my first purchases from Lush, and looking back it is so boring compared to their other products. It does smell good and has lasted me forever. I think it cost around £2 so it was very cheap, but i can't find it anywhere on their website.

 This is a glitter bar called 'Shimmy Shimmy', and the clue is in the name. This picture does not do it much justice, but it is so glittery and you simply rub it on your skin to leave you with a glittery, nice smelling body. The smell isnt too strong either, its quite simple and reminds me of cocoa. I have had it for over a year now and it wont seem to run out, no matter how much i try it just wont end which is a really good thing. Its RRP is £4.50 which does seem quite a bit compared to the other products, but it never runs out so its totally worth it.

This little beauty is called 'Snow fairy massage bar' and is so perfect. It is very sweet and quite strong, and melts at skin temperature. You rub it over your body and it melts and hydrates your skin, but it does leave a pinky colour so maybe take a bath after. It also has a lovely creamy centre which is like a buttery type substance, and you finish your massage by rubing that over you. I received one for christmas and after using it i had to buy a second, but i am saving it for a later date as it is a part of the christmas range. I think it was between £2-4 i cant remember (sorry!)

 Here is a 'FUN' bar and is part of Lush's new range. It is literally like putty/playdough, and is so much fun. You break little pieces off a rub it over you which leaves you smelling gorgeous. They have a range of smells, the red one smells quite like oranges and is my favourite out of all of them. They can also be used as a hair wash, but im a bit too scared to try that yet as it seems weird to rub playdough over my head, if anyone has tried please let me know your thoughts! The RRP is £5 which i think is very reasonable as they are quite big and last a while.

 'Tiny Hands' is a hand cream in the form of a bar; you rub it betwen your hands and it does start to melt and hydrate your skin. It is very lightley scented and made of shea butter. The thing i love about this bar is that it doesnt leave your hands greasy like most hand moisturisers do, it just makes them soft. I also really suffer from dry skin on my hands, so this bar works wonders for me. Its RRP is £4.25 which i think is very well priced as it lasts a long time.

These are three of my favourite soap bars and are also the most popular i think. They smell so amazing and are literally used like normal soap, so its nice to have a change from all of the crazy products and have a simple, easy product. 

The bottom, purple bar is called 'The Godmother' which i think is a really strange name. It has a very sweet scent to it and almost smells of pears.I think it cost me £2.35 but it depends how big the bar you get is (i obviously bought a massive one)

The middle pink bar is called 'Rockstar' and has a very creamy/vanillery/lavendery kind of smell to it. I think its actually made of vanilla beans which is what gives it the strong smell. Apparently it is paired with the 'snow fairy' massage bar as they are both the same smells. This bar cost me £2.10 as again i bought a big sized bar, but they are fairley cheap to buy considering this has lasted me about a year now. 

The top bar is definitely my favourite, but i dont actually know the name of it?! It was bought as a gift for me for christmas, but i have looked on the website and i cant find it so i think it was a part of the christmas stock. It smells so gorgeous, its very sweet and very strong, so it may not be for people who cant handle stronger smells as i can see how it could give some people a headache. Its quite citrus-y and vanillery, its like a mix of all of the soaps.

These are just some of my favourite products from Lush, but i do need to take a visit to the shop again as i havnt been in far too long.

Hot chocolates and Life talks

So today me and one of my bestfriends Tamara finished classes early and took a walk into our local town and had a well needed catchup. The topic of conversation was our futures and like things we want to do with our lives, and it made me realise alot about life and i thought i would share it with whoever wanted to read this. 

Tamara is an amazing dancing, she mainly does ballet but i think she does like other styles on the side, and she was talking about how she would really love to pursue dance for her career but it is also really risky because that means she wouldnt have a proper degree to rely on as she gets older. She had also been offered this amazing audition with some really good ballet production which only a few people can be selected for, however she's scared that it will be too intimidating and what if she fails, and all the other questions that come with big decisions were thrown at me (of all people).

My goal was to make her go, but overall it made me think alot about myself and my approach to life, so here are a few of my new life mottos's:

1. Whats the worst that could happen?

Relating back to my friends situation, she was thinking about not doing it because she was 'too scared', but i said to her what can you actually be scared of?! In every situation there is always a risk, going to the shops could be bad but most people arent scared of that because its highly unlikely anything bad will happen (yes i am aware that example was terrible). I know that an audition is alot more intimidating but the worst thing that could happen is that they say 'no'; and if they do, so what?! like seriously you have to give it a shot atleast!

2. Do things now before its too late.

Tamara will only get one shot at this as auditions are so rare, so i was saying to her what is the point in passing up on it? She will only look back later in life and think 'what if i did go' 'where would i be now?' because there are so many possibilities that could come from just going. This is the same with anything in life, as each day passes thats a day less you get in life, how depressing. But my message is true, why wait untill tomorrow when the opportunity might have passed? 

3. Watch Zoella's video 'Just say yes'

The most magical place in the world

Back in February 2013 i visisted Disneyland Paris with my Mum, Stepdad and two brothers. It was the most unbelievable, magical and breathtaking experience i have ever been a part of. Every single thing about the holiday was perfect, and i actually think i cried when i left. 

We went for four days, and travelled there by the EuroStar; it took no more than 3 hours and you literally arrive at the entrance to the park. The staff even take your luggage to your hotel for you so that you can explore the park straight away. 

 I remember on the first day we went straight to the
gift shop as it was the first thing you see when entering the massive gates. It was so cute inside and everything was so carefully placed which made it feel that much more magical. Me being the biggest disney fan known to man did not want to leave the shop, i remember so clearly not even wanting to explore the rest of the place because i was so amazed by this one shop (and bearing in mind this was nearly a year ago i went there, my memories are proof of how much i loved it because i can remember so much)

youre never too old to love a disney princess doll; whoever disagrees is wrong. 

Disney studios was full of movie sets and had fake cameras everywhere.  In my own opinion i didnt really like it as much because it was more for people who wanted to look at the history of disney like all the old Mickey Mouse characters (if i rememeber correctly) so i was more imterested in hunting down all of the 'real' characters. 

We went during the '20th anniversary' celebrations which made it so much more amazing. Every night they put on a production type thing on the castle, they had animations projected onto it and they did some really amazing effects and had the most spectacular fireworks to go with it. I regret not filming it but it was impossible to take your eyes off of it. 

 I cannot put into words how unbelievable this holiday was, i know youve probably guessed that i enjoyed it, but i hope that you seeing just a few of my pictures has made you want to go because it truly is amazing and i would recomend it to every single age.

Mr Thomas Sabo

My latest jewellery addiction has to be Thomas Sabo. Im not a massive jewellery fan, i dont experiment much unless im going out, so my day to day items are pretty simple and i wear them to death. Because i dont buy jewellery much it means that when i do decide to branch out and add some to my little collection, i tend to speand a bit more to make up for it. Im not a fan of braceletts, and hate wearing things on my wrists because i end up fiddling with them and it distracts me from completing tasks, however i have found an exception.

I am in love with Thomas Sabo's charm braceletts; they are so pretty and i love the fact that you can chop and change the charms on them so easily as theyre only attached with a clip. I think this is a really clever idea for people like me because i get bored of things so easily. I have a Links of London charm bracellet but i very rarely wear it as i get bored with the charms, so the removable charms on the Thomas Sabo bracelett is a really strong reason for me loving them.

Another excellent thing about the brand is that the charm braceletts are pretty cheap. A sterling silver bracelett is £19.95, which i think is so good. They had a deal on at the time and this included a bracelett and one charm for £55, (and i must admit, the charms are quite expensive) so i couldnt say no.

I also have an anklet from the shop which is my most favourite thing ever. I bought it about a year ago now and never take it off, I barely even realise im wearing it half the time. Its so cute and looks really nice no matter what shoes/outfit youre wearing. I think it cost me around £20 and i dont wear any charms on it because i think it looks nicer without.

I appologise for the awful photos, i used this as an opportunity to play around with my camera but i dont know of any good editing programmes that i can use properly and are actually affordable. If anyone has any recomendations please let me know.
